SA Bodysculpture

SA Bodysculpture is a technique that permanently removes fat from targeted areas of the body to enhance your figure and beauty. It was developed in Florida and is now also available in Tennessee, Nevada, Utah and Georgia. The physicians and surgical assistants performing SA Bodysculpture had been specially trained in the technique. The medications, solutions, instruments and post-procedure technologies used have been chosen with five primary goals:

Safety:

The medical literature clearly supports the reality that the use of tumescent anesthesia (a special type of local anesthesia) is far safer than the general anesthesia that is typically used in liposuction.

The physicians trained in SA Bodysculpture do not use internal and external ultrasound devices, laser devices and powered canulas to remove the fat.

Powerful mechanical suction machines are not used.

Heavy intravenous sedation is not needed. Oral medications to help you relax are all that is used.

Reproducible and esthetically pleasing results:

                Because the developers of SA Bodysculpture have standardized the treatment protocols and training procedures, the providers are able to provide reproducible and pleasing results. Everyone is familiar with the “practice of medicine.” The developers have done the practice so that the providers can give you the results. The developers of SA Bodysculpture continue to try and improve the procedure but only after an addition or change becomes proven will it be adopted by your provider.

                The use of tumescent anesthesia improves the results of your bodysculpturing. By softening the fatty tissues the tumescent anesthetic solution makes it possible to use more delicate manual procedures to remove the fat. The epinephrine in the solution has drastically decreased problems related to bleeding and bruising. Typically there is little to no bruising after the procedure. Since the patient is awake, fat can be removed from multiple sites by having the patient roll from front to side to back, etc. Each area can be treated, examined, retreated and re-examined.

                The decision not to use powered cannulas, lasers and ultrasound was made for aesthetic as well as safety reasons. Speed has been sacrificed for precision. The precision allows for the reproducible sculpting.

               The post-procedure treatments have been equally well thought out from the garments selected to the vacuum massage technology used. The garments and vacuum massage assist in healing, shaping and comfort. Once again, safety and aesthetically pleasing results guide the therapeutic decisions made in SA Bodysculpture.

Comfort:

                The local anesthetic solution used for Tumescent Anesthesia contains sodium bicarbonate. This eliminates the burning that would otherwise accompany the use of lidocaine.

                During the infiltration process most patients only experience a sense of pressure and a stretching of the skin. Your SA Bodysculpture provider will adjust the infiltration rate as needed to maintain your comfort.

                The numbing effects of the local anesthetic can last up to 24 hours.

                The garments chosen provide added comfort and support.

Convenience:

                It is an outpatient procedure without general anesthesia and its frequent post-procedure side effects and recovery room stays.

                Most patients will return to work and their normal activities in 1-3 days.

                You can have breakfast or lunch on the day of the procedure. No need to be NPO (nothing by mouth) after midnight.

                Generally all targeted areas can be treated on one day. There is no need to schedule two procedures.
